53rd STEAM RALLY 2016
"Steam Rally Echuca Moama", this major community event organised annually by Echuca Moama Rotary as their fundraising project for the year, the event passes on funds to deserving not for profit causes and organisations around the district.
If last years event is anything to go by we know that this fantastic weekend will be bigger and better than ever before with a list special, one time only experiences being held at the event.
One of our region's longest running major events, Steam Rally Echuca Moama will showcase more than 700 exhibits of working yesteryear and entertain every member of the family with many other different things to see and experience.
This family or enthusiast event is a weekend of entertainment to cover all ages and interests annually held on the Queen's Birthday weekend. Whilst preserving the historical nature of the event by showcasing steam engines valued at well over $500,000 each, vintage cars and working horses, a number of initiatives will roll out to attract a younger audience.
The first "Steam Rally" held in 1963 — then known as the "Echuca Steam, Horse and Vintage Rally" is now showcased at Rotary Park, 1-7 Rose St (or off the Northern Highway), Echuca. With a rebranding facelift in 2010 the 'Echuca Steam, Horse and Vintage Car Rally', is now titled 'Steam Rally Echuca'. The event celebrates its 53rd Anniversary this coming Queen's Birthday weekend, with many special features happening for this great week end.
